Girls' Nite Out

I should say Twitter girls! We, as in myself, SheyB, her asst Natalie, Melissa & Laura Winslow of LWPhotography. We met up & ate at Blue Wasabi. I tried sushi for the very FIRST time & I liked it! My plate was called "Eating Nemo". Afterwards, we headed to Caketini & I had a coconut sparklie cupcake! Compliments of Shealynn. It was YUMMEE!! Thx again Miss Shey! And of course, I snuck that baby in!

Mostly all the cupcakes had sparklies on them! That one to left is the yummee coconut one. So delicious!

Speaking of babies... Melissa went home to get her 4 mos old Emma. She is beautiful! So she spent her evening w/us big girls... then we saw this:

This movie was good, but strange, freaky, not a movie for kids, made everyone jump at one point, never would picture Natalie Portman in this role. Hmm.



Let me know if you see movie! I heard so many different takes on it. Yes, this is a different one alright.

More Dreams

Thanksgiving nite of ALL nites to have a scary, horrible, terrifying... dream. I was exhausted & fell asleep quick my husband said. Soon after, I was dreaming. I walked into our walk-in closet to change into pjs & instead of taking my shirt off over my head 'myself', my shirt pulled upward, lifting my arms above my head & stopping w/my head & arms in my shirt. It was like us moms, taking our child's shirt off. My shirt was stuck & I couldn't get it off. I tried to scream 'Carlos' but it came out as a broken whisper. My first thought was of my sister that had passed away 3.5 yrs ago. ?? I knew it wasn't her, but I felt it was evil & it was trying to take me away from my family. I was lifted off the ground & my face was pushed into clothes on shelves so I couldn't scream. I then tried to sway & kick my legs to get free but it didn't work. Soon after, I woke up. My heart was beating fast & hard. Carlos woke me up, asking what happened.

Where do you think this came from? We all had a good Turkey Day w/family. No fights. No bad words. No bad feelings. ??? I have no idea. I don't watch scary movies either.

Friday nite: I had a dream that I was driving a tiny car, the size of a Smart car. I was following Leleanna & Antonia down a trail full of kids & parents trying to get to the water to swim. First, we were on grass going in & out of crowds of people. The girls were walking. I was trying to keep up, zig-zagging between all the people. We were moving to the left on grass, then we were heading to the right on dirt. There was a fence separating the different trails, like those on a beach on the dunes. We reached the sand & we had to run down a steep hill to get to the water. I had left our towels on the hill & ran to the girls. The water never stopped. It was the ocean, moving constantly. Small waves after another. The girls were having fun playing & I woke up.

I'm still wondering WHY the horrible dream. Even tonite, when we were at my mom's... I was telling her, Rob & Carrie and still, it gives me a bad feeling just to retell it! Her house came out cute too. Carrie came up w/the lites along the bushes that face the lake & I did her porch. I'll take pix soon. What's a good way to hang those candy cane lites, angel or Noel lites up in a window? I was thinking the suction cup things w/the little hooks? Hmm.. I'm hoping it can hold these things up! My mom has like 4 of them! Her tape deal that she tries w/everything didn't work! We laugh now bcuz if it was up to her, anything on her walls would be held up w/tape! But she didn't fight us tonite. Yay! My girls kept baby Gia busy... It's late only 117am & I just heard Graciella calling Antonia's name in her sleep. They are both in Graciella's bed! Carlos & I say we should buy a bed like ours & put all three girls in it! Lele is on the couch next to me at the moment. Her tummy was hurting her earlier. I think it was the med I gave her to help her go potty. Anyone have any sure fire ways to make your 5 yr old go potty?! She eats half of a banana & is done. Apples. Once in a while. Apple juice. Everyday. I was tempted to buy Castor Oil tonite but that would be nasty! I bought something else that you stir into a drink. But she only took a few sips of her milk bcuz it tasted funny. We tried making it choc milk. Yeah, that didin't work so great either. She said it still tasted funny.

We came home tonite, ate leftovers & watched this:

Practice, Hay Ride & More

Many of us, this season, have countless soccer games/practices to attend. Well, HOW many of you are practicing to play in a Turkey Bowl?! My daughters' club is having this special event, one time, one nite only, game for all us moms. We play for our kids' team & the winning team will win $$ towards a tournament! =) We play against all the other moms.  We play two games but after that... it all depends on how good your team is! The nite can be cut short, but I'm hoping the stars are aligned that nite: so 98's can win! We started practices last week & we have a pretty good team! Wish me luck! (I am so outta shape!) The girls have practice every week from 530p-7p Tues, Weds & Thurs. I'm telling you this bcuz THIS is how often us moms will be at it too! I'm hoping I can stick it out!

Friday: was a busier than ever kind of day. Kids went to school at 11am. I had to be back by 1245 for a field trip. So this gave me little time to head to Justice to buy a bday gift for Antonia's party. The Kinders were walking to Mother Nature's Farm right up the street. Do you know that even in late October, it was HOT! We all were in shorts & I forgot to put sunscreen on Lele's face! (she didn't get any sunburn though!) So after walking around, a bumpy hayride, decorating pumpkins, jumping in the bouncy house, checking out the animals... we p/u the girls at 4p & drive straight to Antonia's friend's bday party that is from 4-6. Next, drop off daddy & Lele at home. Graciella & I head out to Tilly's to shop for her friend's bday gift. We finish there, run to the car, wrap gift & head to another friend's house bcuz she was to ride over w/them for a surprise party from 630-10p. Whirlwind of a day, I tell ya! I drop her off, head home & call my mom on cell... I just happened to see the time 625! Ah--! I had to p/u Antonia at 6. Hang up w/mom & call party while doing a U-turn. All was good though bcuz girls were still playing. Yay. A few hours later, I had to p/u a mom & her and I drove to party together. We took a detour at 945pm to look at these huge, gorgeous homes. =) Finally made it to party, most of the girls were from the soccer team. All but one. Us moms must have stood outside & talked for almost 45 mins before it started getting chilly out. Afterwards, drove friends home & finally walked in the door about 1130 or so.

Saturday: Leleanna had her game first thing in the am. Had to be there at 830am. Thunderbolts did a great job & won! Lele scored 2 goals & the other team even scored  2 goals -  for us! ha!

After her game, Graciella & I headed out to shop for her costume. We lucked out & found NOT her Bollywood costume but came up w/another. She was going to look cute or 'groovy'!

Antonia's game was sched for 230p & she had to be there at 145. Fun, I know. It's not even summer & this heat! Jeze. Well, daddy had our canopy set up when I got there. Without it, we would of been toast! Okay, so why put a girl in goalie if she NEVER played that position before. Yeah, they're just girls but why not have her attend goalie training for a month or two first? This is not rec people. I'm sure she was plenty nervous too! Two goals later, she was switched out. Our girls dominated that game. It didn't help them though w/this ref from another planet. My Lord! He made bogus calls. Spoke to & coached our girls. An idiot. Period. Ugh! Bcuz of his dumb*** calls & a few minor changes, he cost our girls this game. They so-- should of won too. 3-2. Whaddya gonna do. Girls played hard & everyone learned from it.

Next on agenda? Block party. Carrie, Rob & Gia met us at park for a minute before we had to head home & get ready! Girls knew party started at 3, so they wanted to hurry & get ready. Party started at 430 for us, but the girls ended up having fun. Met some neighbors for the first time! Gia looked too cute & she was so well behaved (for a 7 mos old!) She is truly a good baby =)

Sunday: we met up w/our oldest, Melina & her bf at a park (that just happened to be having a soccer tournament!) So great to spend time w/her! We all had fun playing soccer (I know, finally a day OFF from soccer & what do we do?!) & the boys (Min too) were throwing the football. We had brought fresh bagels & cream cheese, yum. Again, another hot day! I didn't plan on the sweating part! Thx Min & Patrick for the grapes =)

Yet Another

Did anyone see The Blair Witch Project back in the day?

Well, the nite I saw it w/friends we were afraid when we left the theater. Later to find out, it was ALL fake. We've heard THIS movie is also fake but one I may have to pass on bcuz word is? This one is worse. Scarier. Uh yeah. Pass.  Paranormal Activity. Does anyone besides myself, believe in this stuff?! I will never be able to get to sleep! Did you hear that it only cost $11 Grand (or 15K, something like that!) to make? Now, WHY didn't I think of this!?

Let me know if any of you actually go to see this! I want a review, if you will. =) I'll let you be afraid, rather than ME!! Ha! Carlos does want to see this though. Ugh. Not happening.

The Day with My Girls

Yesterday, Graciella had suggested we pick up Antonia for lunch today! (she goes back to school on Monday!) So we did just that! It was Antonia's choice where to eat. She choose Nicantoni's. (no surprise there!) YUM! We took her back to school & decided on what movie to see afterwards. We decided on Marley & Me. Wow. I want to see it again! How sad! I couldn't stop the tears! I just kept thinking of Isabelle (last yr, Antonia's kitty of 6 mos had to be taken to the hospital & given a shot to go to sleep forever) I was also thinking of our puppies - Harley & Hugo. They're such good boys! Anyway, if you haven't seen it... GO SEE IT!

Happy Holidays

Hope everyone had a great Xmas! Ours was... eventful (to say the least!) Things happen for a reason. And as I always said, "actions speak louder than words". So true!

I had made this for a class for Devine Memories. (But Xmas is here!) Perhaps, next year!

So much & pix to catch up with. Once again!

Devine Memories had the Design Team Xmas party - white elephant gift exchange. That was fun & the food was YUMMY! All the ladies were too nice though! I did end up w/Rebecca's box of goodies! Yea--- me!

Graciella had her Legacy party too. The girls had fun & all the families brought lots of yummy food! Pix are here.

The week before Xmas, the girls decorated a ginger bread house. They had fun w/out the fighting! Lele only asked me to eat the candy, instead of putting it on the house - 100 times!

Xmas Eve - we spent at the Jesson's, our extended familia & Gramma came with too! The girls had a blast opening gifts. Thx so much Jeannie & the rest of the clan for making it so-- much fun for our girls! We got home that nite to find gifts for the girls under the tree. Carrie & Rob came over too. Santa left the girls & Carrie new pjs for Xmas! Surprise! Surprise! ;) Gramma spent the nite too. The girls left oreos & milk for Santa, oats & carrots for the reindeer. He also left a note for the girls! Graciella said in the am, that she thought daddy could of wrote it. Hmm... I think she's beginning to figure things out. She hasn't said anything about the writing on the gift tags & the fact that Santa has the same wrapping paper as us... YET!

Xmas morning was CRAZY! But in the end... Carly, Kayvion, Gramma, Carrie & Rob spent the day. All was good. I'm just happy we were all together to celebrate. One person, however, was missing. Melina.
