Harajuku Love

Just my girl and her Harajuku bag by Gwen Stephani. We walked into this local store and Leleanna walked straight to the counter to scour over the jewels. She loves her jewelry! I spotted this messenger bag w/all the purses & totes too! I thought what a great Xmas gift this would make for Lele until... she saw, grabbed & would NOT stop telling me she HAD to have this bag! Okay, I guess it cannot wait for Christmas morning. End result, I have a happy ten year old!

* I have checked online too & these bags seemed to be sold out everywhere! That & pretty pricey! Score for mommy!

Here is THEE bag close up! =)

Hope you're having a great day!

Happy Dias de los Muertos

Do you celebrate the Day of the Dead? The festival is pretty close by and we were able to take the girls this year straight from Lele's soccer game! A few gifts were bought and jewelry of course! Also, a big thing to do is decorate sugar skulls. Had to wait on line for this too!

Can you tell which lovely sugar skull belongs to whom? lol
Have a good night.

Just Keep Swimming & Believe

I think of Dory from the movie: Nemo & I smile. This is what I feel like as of lately. Without going into details, my heart is heavy, my head is spinning, I'm worried & praying every day. I know He will take care of things as He sees fit. It's the waiting, praying and trying to do the right thing every. single. day that gets me. I'm a happy camper each day. I just try to see the light at the end of the tunnel and know good things will happen. Schedules may be hectic but at the end of the day, I have my family and I'm thankful. My craft room makes me happy and allows me to just breathe. Enjoy. An escape from it all. Even if for only a minute.

This past weekend was a scary one. My teen was assaulted in the middle of her soccer game. No joke. I couldn't believe it. It was as if someone pressed play on a YouTube video of girls fighting. I was so thankful for my daughter's teammates that came running to help her without giving a second thought. If it wasn't for the few girls that did, I know my girl would of spent the night in the ER. She's always the tiniest one out there. For some reason this girl choose her in a flash to tackle to the ground, sit on her and went at it. My girl did get a punch in and her teammate was able to pull the girl off pretty quick. Minus the 2 punches to the face, tiny cuts, small bruising, losing both contacts, her hair nearly pulled out, the knot on her brow & side of her head... she is okay.  Her neck was sore along w/her face. You never saw a mom run so fast on to the field in the middle of a game either. I wasn't alone as it turned out. Two more moms were right behind me. It's instinct to protect your little ones. I won't apologize for it either. The field was full of chaos and I just wanted to separate our girls from the other team. A mom from the other team even punched the ref! What on earth?! I just remember looking to my left to see my girl in tears, disheveled & scared in the arms of her teammate. They had their arms wrapped around the other just hugging. This image I cannot get out of my mind, and it brings me to tears every time. Her friend is real tall too. In fact, taller than me at 5'7". The image is a sweet one and to only think what it meant in that moment, breaks my heart. I just shake my head now. I cannot even begin to understand. Yes to pressing charges and all that follows. Unacceptable period. This was my nightmare coming true. Thank God it ended when it did, because I know it could of been worse. I know teens may drive you absolutely nuts, but it just takes a moment and a person that has not one ounce of self respect or respect for others to change lives in a blink of an eye.

This photo of my youngest was about 30 mins before the craziness began. She fell asleep soon after this was taken and woke up to screaming & cussing parents as she describes it. She said she looked over at our chairs and they were empty. She was really scared, covered her ears and covered her head w/the blanket and cried. (I was running onto the field and my tween was standing on the sideline.) Hearing her tell me this breaks my heart again. Isn't this too crazy?!

What comes around, goes around and the whole thing about Karma, you know? He will do as He sees fit. I believe in Him. And that old saying: things happen for a reason. Hmm. I have always believed this though, now to just wait it out... and see why.

**I kept debating on whether or not to share... but this is my life. I can only hope this can bring to light what some kids are about or even taught. This is what parenting is all about. I cannot imagine not teaching your teen about self respect, etc. This is sad and I bet we don't hear half of all the horror stories and sports.

Have a good night.

Halloween 2013

Trick or Treat! Halloween came up on us super quick & was gone in a flash! I did happen to catch my girls in costume though! They had a busy week dressing up for parties, school, soccer practice & Halloween night. My husband & his team went trick-or-treating together and the same goes for my 12 y/o and her team. The girls had a blast! Even my teen went w/a few of her friends & her sister's team. Afterwards, we all met up at a teammate's house for some food, to chat & relax! We brought our two Shelties along & they did great! By the time we got home, we all were exhausted. So much walking and all three girls had games the next day!

Here's a look at our Black Swan, our Fairy & 80's workout queen:

My super cute nerd & referee

Did you join in on the fun?
I wanted to but ran out of time to do the makeup! Boo. I will definitely schedule myself & hubby earlier in the day for this in 2014!
Have a good day!

107 Days Away

Really?! That is until Christmas arrives! Are you ready or even half way there? Not I said the fly. Where is that Father Time anyway? I need him to grant me some more pronto! Busy is the key word these days. Here are a few shots from the past two weeks!

To sum up photos: My youngest will always pose for me! Yes we needed new sheets! Great deal too! Peach Twist?! Yum. You need to try! My poor girl & her severe allergies! Bad reactions to outside elements & she plays club soccer! And she hates to have her blood work done! My tween told me she wants nothing else but the hanging Pier 1 chair! It has cup holders & pockets, I could do my homework here! I had to laugh. =)

Have a great week!

Party of Fourteen

Yes that many girls! Three were mine but it was still fun! We had the party at home & went crazy with balloons! I wish Pinterest existed years ago! I saw an idea to decorate without helium. Yes! Money saved & I love this idea, so we went to town! A video of party/decor is on Instagram too! Here are a few shots:

My two girls: Antonia & Graciella helped me tremendously! I would never have made it by start time w/out them! Thank you girls! xoxo
Craft time was trying to show all the girls how to embroider. I had sewn the banners, the girls chose a word, I wrote it & they went to town! One was a pro, a few 'got it' and the others, they were fighting w/their thread and the thread won!
My teen made the photo booth sign and I love it! She has the coolest writing! And above are some shots of the party girls. (not sure why Instagram did not include this one photo in my photo stream!? Grr---!)
Video Star was also on the agenda. The girls split up into two teams and created super cute/funny videos! Have your kids tried this out yet?

My mama is now nine and a ball of energy, sass, kisses & hugs, a rising soccer superstar and she has a big heart! Did I mention she's real crafty too?

I have to share a balloon pic too! Almost forgot! I'll get right on that one!
Have a good night!

Happy Sixteen

Happy Anniversary to my hubby & I! Together 18 and married 16! Whew! So many things have happened over the years: a few moves, health scares, babies, family passing, new cars, trips, soccer, schools... hairdos! lol We have many more to add to that list but it'll go on FORever.

Our girls made this sign & hung it outside for all to see. They also hung streamers, signs & wrote on mirrors throughout the house to celebrate! Muffins by our girls too. They lasted all about 10 minutes.

Today I took Leleanna for a endoscopy to find out why she still has pain in her chest area. She was so brave as tiny as she is. She said she was nervous but you never saw it! My mama did awesome & the nurses said as much too! She's all ready to go back w/her new friend Jack the tiger w/leopard spots! (courtesy of the Phx Childrens Hospital) ... she bounced back that quick when we got home too! The girls were outside playing w/the hose!

Happy day Carlos! I love you forever & always. xoxo

Happy Weekend

This past week flew by! Our freshman is now a sophomore! Last day was Thursday. The two younger ones had Cottage Fairs, Jr High/HS meetings, more dr appts and calls, skating party for school and a soccer scrimmage w/new team!  I've been working on new items for shop and taking the perfect photo of each! I won some prizes too! One arrived already, now to wait for the second to arrive! Also, have been printing out photos every few days for Project Life pages! This weekend: sleepovers, pizza and movies. Swimming w/friends too. Today is overcast too!? This never happens here in AZ. Strange. The husband has to work again tonight too. More creating time for me!

So much to share this week but it'll have to wait till my PL pages are complete!
Hope you have a fun & safe weekend!

Water Day

Finally! The girls have been looking forward to this day (Tues. for Lele & Weds. for Antonia) for weeks! The kids get to spend 3 hours running around outside on huge inflatable slides! They also have games, snacks & music too!  The kids love it! All this can only happen if you read 100 hours before May 1st. Not hard right? If you can believe it, some kiddos didn't reach this. I don't want to get into why but it starts at home. 'Nuff said!

1. Lele & her bffs 2. Antonia leaving for school. Yes my girls indulge me to snap a quick pic! 3. Goodies from Michaels / Project Life. Love my 60% off yellow ceramic strawberry container! 4. Antonia & her shades. too cute! 5. Our boys. Are you LOVING Elsie & Emma's new app on IG?!

Happy day!

Happy Monday

Always a good day when you open the tiny mail box door w/your key and find happy mail! All this washi tape I won from a giveaway from Freckled Fawn. Love her shop! 40 rolls to be exact! YES!

A package from Amy, a friend a met via Instagram! Love Social Media! Thanks so much! A book that I did start today & a Starbucks gift card to go with?! Seriously. She's awesome!

My youngest has been to doctors and still no answers. She has tummy issues and has for the past four years. She has missed many days of school because of this too. She is my little brave soldier this girl. No joke! She is fine with needles and X-rays. It's sad that I could say she's a pro! I love this girl. xo

Oh yeah! In case you are NOT on Instagram or know of Elsie Larson's blog: A Beautiful Mess... you seriously need to check out her & her sister Emma's new app! 99 cents and you get a bunch to play with! I love it already!

This icon is adorable! Awesome job on this app! There's many options that you can purchase too while in app. Not sure of the cost but if I find out, I'll let you all know!

Happy day!

Sacraments

Today was a big day for our youngest. She made her First Communion (First Eucharist) and her Confirmation. Things have changed since I had made mine! The mass started at 2pm and let out about 330. Whew! There were lots of little ones in white! The dresses were beautiful & the suits were charming. Too cute! A big thank you to Leleanna's God mother Jeannie for sharing her special day too! xo

This last one was Lele's idea.
*Stop and smell the flowers*
God Bless.
