Happy 11th Birthday to my sweet girl. She choose her color combo for the party: red, white & blue!  She was a super happy camper w/her gifts too! Swimming w/friends & back home for a party. (It was a nice relief from the high temps!)

Mother's Day

I hope all of you had the best day ever! I can dream up of the most perfect day: it would include a remote beach, my iPhone (to take those breathless photos & share!) the ringer would be off though, a good book/magazine, my family & lots of food! Just a place for us to breathe, play & relax.

All Good Things Come to an End

(NOT every time though!) Today was the last day for swim w/Miss Mindy. Antonia had to make it complete by hitting her head just before we left. Yep, she tried her triple back flip just off the side & slam! Just kidding! Just a little front flip & when she came up, she bonked it on the side. No blood just a tiny scratch on her scalp. =)

This year was a refresher course for Antonia & Graciella, with them honing in on those diving & stroke skills! They did a great job! Leleanna turned into a fish! She could swim last year but this time around, she could swim on top of the water, dive, do her cannonballs - once again!!, flips... she loved it!!

Pretty scary!

I took the girls to the pool this afternoon & all was good. Until... I did one lap across the pool w/the girls playing away in the little end. Got to the other end & heard the lifeguard's whistle, followed by a child's scream. That was Lele I told myself. I ran towards her & had to jump in the pool to get to her the quickest way! (instead of running my butt all around the pool) She was sitting on the side w/all this blood coming down her face out of her nose. I took her & sat w/all these lifeguards standing around us.

Long story, short - she jumped in the pool & her tiny nose hit Antonia on the head! She was swimming under water! Antonia & her head are okay, not even hurtin' one bit. Lele's nose stopped bleeding right away & ended up w/a tiny cut inside on the one side. THANK GOD! It could of been worse.

So that was our day so far. A mother's worse nightmare coming true. One of your little ones' face covered w/blood. Scary picture to see. She's not swollen, may be a bit sore tonite though, I'm thinking. I'm hoping she doesn't wake up w/a bruised up nose. We shall see... she's a happy camper now though, playing w/her Barbies!

This past Saturday, the San Tan Legacy soccer club had a pool party. Graciella & Antonia had a blast on both diving boards! I couldn't believe as tiny as Antonia is, she was able to swim across the pool after jumping in the pool over & over & over & over.... you get the picture. The same goes for all these girls for almost 3 hrs. Miss Mindy would be proud!

I got a text Sunday from my niece CARLY!! Okay, so I'm a bit happy & it was GREAT to see her, Shrek & Kayvion! She had his first bday party (that same day!) at her new house! CONGRATS on the house! She lives super close too. The girls, Gramma & I went to the baby's party. All of us missed her a bunch this past yr! The baby is a mini-me of Carly! But he looks just like his daddy too!

Right when we left the party, I felt absolutely horrible! I kept telling Graciella that if I pass out, don't panic & call 911. Mommy's NOT playing around. We dropped Gramma off & went to Safeway real quick to p/u a few things. Carlos even told me to come home, but I told him I'm right here, so I'll go in. Got home, & literally fell out as soon as I hit the bed! The girls took showers & that's all I remember. The heat got to me at the party. Super bad. I never felt that way. It was scary! All the people & it was so hot inside & out?! The next morning was okay, but later in the pm, my head was hurting still. Never again! It was too much & for me to be w/the girls & not Carlos too?! Nope, can't do it. I know Graciella was afraid. She gets that way, when I feel real sick or anything like that.

Anyway, it was so good to see the baby again, Eric (aka Shrek) & Carly. We love you! (& I know your mom was happy too! ;] ) xoxo

Cards & More

This card I made from scraps. Simple. I used the Lisa Bearnson foam stamp 'you' on this. I love that whole set of stamps! (not your ordinary foam stamp set! it has 12" stamps too!)

This was made for the 'wrap-a-round' challenge over at Hero Arts. Did this super quick, not entirely happy w/the end result, but I do like my birds, swirls & bling!

Sad News for moi'... Hambly chose new DT. Six from the US & 6 International. YOU GO GIRLS! Enjoy & create your hearts out! I shall try once again!

Yesterday, it was actually HOT AS HELL or close to it! 125 when I got in the truck at 230 to pick up the girls from school! It did go down to 116 though, after I started driving. Crazy ain't it?!

Even at 6pm, it wasn't any cooler! I wasn't driving at that time. But Mia was & she was in it! UGH!

Friday, they had a make up lesson & they just adore her! From the beginning of the summer till now, HUGE difference & more importantly, the girls have confidence when in the water. All 3 can swim on their own. Two older ones - no problems. Lele, she can swim but she cannot go long distances yet. She'll need the practice still but what a difference! She can jump in & get out on her own. She can swim under water & not above. She can dive to the bottom w/a little help & get the rings/diving stx. She holds her breath, w/out holding her nose. Ever. She'll swim a little, come up for air & go back under. She's a little fish! Her & her goggles. She's under the water swimming more than above! She hangs out more in the deep end than the kiddie section!

This morning, Graciella had a party for Legacy (soccer) at Folley pool. Super close to us. That works!! We never had gone but the girls LOVED it bcuz of the diving boards in the 12 foot end! They had to test & swim the width of the pool before they could go off the high dives, well both. They couldn't touch the bottom (Antonia couldn't anyway!) & couldn't touch the ropes. Both finished & spent the 3 hrs on both the high dive & lower one. We NEED to tell Mindy about this visit! It was crazy to see these little kids jump off & swim the long distance to the other side of the pool! I'll post pix manana. I need to eat, watch some Days & go to bed!
