Happy Dias de los Muertos

Do you celebrate the Day of the Dead? The festival is pretty close by and we were able to take the girls this year straight from Lele's soccer game! A few gifts were bought and jewelry of course! Also, a big thing to do is decorate sugar skulls. Had to wait on line for this too!

Can you tell which lovely sugar skull belongs to whom? lol
Have a good night.

This girl

My gorgeous, funny, club soccer playing teen needs your prayers. I say many prayers each day & night and they can only get her so far. I'm hoping w/others praying for her too, they will be heard and help her heal and overcome all that is hindering her.

This is Graciella.

This photo is from this July, right after we spent almost 3 hours on the Salt River, tubing. Yes, my girl took her braid out & posed by our stack of tubes just as mom asked. This has to be one of my favorite shots of her to date! She is gorgeous with zero makeup & river hair and BOOM! Yes I'm proud to say, she is mine. =) I also wanted to post this on Instagram w/hopes the "right" people would see her & want to sign her to model for teen clothing, sports clothing/workout gear, hair products... the list goes on! I just couldn't do it but here she is on my blog. lol

Without going into her health history & present issues, she can use all the prayers she can get. Honestly. Her schooling had suffered and because of all the sickness, she may not return to normal high school this year & play Varsity HS soccer for the third year in a row. This alone will break her heart. It breaks mine everyday when she tells me how she feels or that she's feeling sick, etc. I don't want to add more meds to her regimen either. In the past, stress got the best of me and literally, I went through hell. Many prayers got me through it and granted me a miracle. No exaggeration. So with that said, I know in my heart, that prayers do work & change lives just like that.

** I kept putting off publishing this post since the summer. The main reason I guess was this photo. My beautiful girl. This is her every day. She's 16 and we can honestly say, she's a good girl. She deserves the best life has to offer her and we would love nothing more than her to feel 'normal' again.

I'd like to thank you all in advance for adding my girl to your daily prayers. We do appreciate it & if I could give you each a big fat huge hug IRL, I would. Many thanks.

My Sunday Shares

Hope your weekend was a good one! Just thought I'd share some faves from this week:

1. Love this girl to pieces. I took some quick shots of her after school. And yes, my baby girl is now Sweet 16!

2. Have you heard of Pretty Pink Posh? I have a few of her items. She seems super sweet & I love her videos: craft haul, new products, 10 minute craft dash & start to finish cards.

3. Stumbled onto these yummy colors on Instagram! Love them! The photo is from @kellitronel

4. My March Project Life kit from Citrus Twist Kits!

Happy Sunday!

Project Life 2013 Week 32

Hello Project Life! Oh I've missed these layouts! How do you keep track of all your day to day happenings? I still use the Momento App. Love still. I even have a reminder to alert me every night at 8pm to write stuff down. The best part about this app is that it collects all your photos from FB, Instagram or Twitter and adds to each day. Love this!

The doily I created w/my Spellbinders die! Love all the different sizes too. I used a bunch of printable cards for this layout. I cut my ampersand tag to fit & covered my cut line w/some thin washi! I used Amy Tangerine's embroidery kit on that tag as well. Love those kits! Studio Calico: tiny heart,  Love This wood piece, day stamp, 6x6 paper pad. Simple Stories: typeset stickers & labels. Silhouette for the 88. Dear Lizzy letter stickers. Inspired stamp is by Autumn Leaves. Lots of stitching here & there on my Bernina!

If there's added text/designs on my photos? Most likely made with the Rhonna Designs app. Love it! More stitches to add a little detail. Butterfly: Martha Stewart punch. Half white doily: Spellbinders die. More washi. Love to use tiny tags for journaling! More Simple Stories labels/stickers on this page as well. Heidi Swapp: black sticker letters.

Oh yeah! Just in case you're thinking: is she really on week 32? Um yeah, I skip around. No reason, just what I feel like working on, time allows, photos printed or not... This year I want to PL in chronological order!

Any questions? Ask away! What are your thoughts on my spread? Would love to know!
Happy day to you all.

Project Life Week 35

This week has lots of photos so that means lots of flap/tabs. Just five to be exact & two tags w/hidden journaling. I used small journaling spots to attach additional photos and tag, stitches on machine & washi tape. For my tabs I used Spellbinders hexagon dies and used a journaling sticker folded in half. I love sewing on layouts & PL ones are perfect to attach something really quick and at the same time, adds texture without the bulk!

Now for the right side! Only a few more photos showing details. :)

How do you fit in your extra photos & journaling? What's your favorite way to attach it all?   Any new ideas are always fun to try!
Happy day!

Just Keep Swimming & Believe

I think of Dory from the movie: Nemo & I smile. This is what I feel like as of lately. Without going into details, my heart is heavy, my head is spinning, I'm worried & praying every day. I know He will take care of things as He sees fit. It's the waiting, praying and trying to do the right thing every. single. day that gets me. I'm a happy camper each day. I just try to see the light at the end of the tunnel and know good things will happen. Schedules may be hectic but at the end of the day, I have my family and I'm thankful. My craft room makes me happy and allows me to just breathe. Enjoy. An escape from it all. Even if for only a minute.

This past weekend was a scary one. My teen was assaulted in the middle of her soccer game. No joke. I couldn't believe it. It was as if someone pressed play on a YouTube video of girls fighting. I was so thankful for my daughter's teammates that came running to help her without giving a second thought. If it wasn't for the few girls that did, I know my girl would of spent the night in the ER. She's always the tiniest one out there. For some reason this girl choose her in a flash to tackle to the ground, sit on her and went at it. My girl did get a punch in and her teammate was able to pull the girl off pretty quick. Minus the 2 punches to the face, tiny cuts, small bruising, losing both contacts, her hair nearly pulled out, the knot on her brow & side of her head... she is okay.  Her neck was sore along w/her face. You never saw a mom run so fast on to the field in the middle of a game either. I wasn't alone as it turned out. Two more moms were right behind me. It's instinct to protect your little ones. I won't apologize for it either. The field was full of chaos and I just wanted to separate our girls from the other team. A mom from the other team even punched the ref! What on earth?! I just remember looking to my left to see my girl in tears, disheveled & scared in the arms of her teammate. They had their arms wrapped around the other just hugging. This image I cannot get out of my mind, and it brings me to tears every time. Her friend is real tall too. In fact, taller than me at 5'7". The image is a sweet one and to only think what it meant in that moment, breaks my heart. I just shake my head now. I cannot even begin to understand. Yes to pressing charges and all that follows. Unacceptable period. This was my nightmare coming true. Thank God it ended when it did, because I know it could of been worse. I know teens may drive you absolutely nuts, but it just takes a moment and a person that has not one ounce of self respect or respect for others to change lives in a blink of an eye.

This photo of my youngest was about 30 mins before the craziness began. She fell asleep soon after this was taken and woke up to screaming & cussing parents as she describes it. She said she looked over at our chairs and they were empty. She was really scared, covered her ears and covered her head w/the blanket and cried. (I was running onto the field and my tween was standing on the sideline.) Hearing her tell me this breaks my heart again. Isn't this too crazy?!

What comes around, goes around and the whole thing about Karma, you know? He will do as He sees fit. I believe in Him. And that old saying: things happen for a reason. Hmm. I have always believed this though, now to just wait it out... and see why.

**I kept debating on whether or not to share... but this is my life. I can only hope this can bring to light what some kids are about or even taught. This is what parenting is all about. I cannot imagine not teaching your teen about self respect, etc. This is sad and I bet we don't hear half of all the horror stories and sports.

Have a good night.

Halloween 2013

Trick or Treat! Halloween came up on us super quick & was gone in a flash! I did happen to catch my girls in costume though! They had a busy week dressing up for parties, school, soccer practice & Halloween night. My husband & his team went trick-or-treating together and the same goes for my 12 y/o and her team. The girls had a blast! Even my teen went w/a few of her friends & her sister's team. Afterwards, we all met up at a teammate's house for some food, to chat & relax! We brought our two Shelties along & they did great! By the time we got home, we all were exhausted. So much walking and all three girls had games the next day!

Here's a look at our Black Swan, our Fairy & 80's workout queen:

My super cute nerd & referee

Did you join in on the fun?
I wanted to but ran out of time to do the makeup! Boo. I will definitely schedule myself & hubby earlier in the day for this in 2014!
Have a good day!

Homecoming 2013

Yes it's that time again! It's so different from when I went to high school! My teen went with her friends over the weekend. We had a super busy one too! She agreed to a mini photo shoot with me the day before. Yes and thank you! After running around to different locations, a football game, dropping boys (our Shelties) off at sitter, a soccer game an hour away and taking Graciella to her friends with her dress... I was finally on my way to Tucson (almost 2 hrs away!) solo. Our two younger girls had a soccer tournament all weekend!

Here are some shots of my beautiful girl. Oh and just in case any one was interested in her having her  model clothes or accessories for your company?? Please send me an email. *wink*wink She has legs for days! And gorgeous thick hair! Just sayin'. =)

I absolutely LOVE this last photo! This reminds me of a magazine ad perhaps for the dress?!!

Hope your weekend was a great one!

107 Days Away

Really?! That is until Christmas arrives! Are you ready or even half way there? Not I said the fly. Where is that Father Time anyway? I need him to grant me some more pronto! Busy is the key word these days. Here are a few shots from the past two weeks!

To sum up photos: My youngest will always pose for me! Yes we needed new sheets! Great deal too! Peach Twist?! Yum. You need to try! My poor girl & her severe allergies! Bad reactions to outside elements & she plays club soccer! And she hates to have her blood work done! My tween told me she wants nothing else but the hanging Pier 1 chair! It has cup holders & pockets, I could do my homework here! I had to laugh. =)

Have a great week!

Happy Weekend

This past week flew by! Our freshman is now a sophomore! Last day was Thursday. The two younger ones had Cottage Fairs, Jr High/HS meetings, more dr appts and calls, skating party for school and a soccer scrimmage w/new team!  I've been working on new items for shop and taking the perfect photo of each! I won some prizes too! One arrived already, now to wait for the second to arrive! Also, have been printing out photos every few days for Project Life pages! This weekend: sleepovers, pizza and movies. Swimming w/friends too. Today is overcast too!? This never happens here in AZ. Strange. The husband has to work again tonight too. More creating time for me!

So much to share this week but it'll have to wait till my PL pages are complete!
Hope you have a fun & safe weekend!
