Dies & Foam

Hello again! Just wanted to share this tid bit about craft foam! Have you ever tried using with your dies? I ran it through my Grand Caliber twice with no problems at all! The thickness of my foam was a tiny bit less than 1/8". If you need to purchase, you can try the craft stores or even the dollar store! Mine has adhesive on the back, but I added a bit of wet glue to ensure it would not come off any time soon!

I used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors & LOVE! My hands have really bad psoriatic arthritis plus carpal tunnel & the scissors did not hurt me at all. Love when this happens! I used regular old school crepe paper also. I measured, cut then stitched to stripe paper before adhering to card base.

I consider this a CAS card. (clean & simple) Love the end result too! I always look at the tiny details & since I didn't stitch around the outside of the stripe paper, I did use pierced rectangles to emboss the tiny dots.

Happy day to you!

Antonia wanted to buy a Heidi Swapp marquee letter to decorate but we decided it was on the small side and bought a wood letter from Michaels instead! DIY it was! The end result came out super cute too! And the best part, the birthday girl loved it!

Happy Birthday

The years are flying by! Why is that?! No joke! When your kids tell you time goes by so quick, something is wrong! Today was a good day but w/our youngest not feeling well, home from school. =/ Our teen gets out early & we took our tween out early to take ME to Ikea! Yep my choice people. ha! I knew what I wanted & in turquoise (although it looks greenish in the photo)! This has been on my wish list for-ever! So we bought my gift, some yummy Ikea cookies and a pkg of cinnamon rolls and we were outta there! My teen had her last soccer game of the high school season then straight to a good friends' house for cake & ice cream! She is too sweet. Her girl even played Happy Birthday on the piano as they sang! Thank you Haley!

Happy day to me! (Can I turn 39 again?!) ha! NOW I totally get why my mom at 82, still says she's turning 39. She has been saying this since I can remember!

Party of Fourteen

Yes that many girls! Three were mine but it was still fun! We had the party at home & went crazy with balloons! I wish Pinterest existed years ago! I saw an idea to decorate without helium. Yes! Money saved & I love this idea, so we went to town! A video of party/decor is on Instagram too! Here are a few shots:

My two girls: Antonia & Graciella helped me tremendously! I would never have made it by start time w/out them! Thank you girls! xoxo
Craft time was trying to show all the girls how to embroider. I had sewn the banners, the girls chose a word, I wrote it & they went to town! One was a pro, a few 'got it' and the others, they were fighting w/their thread and the thread won!
My teen made the photo booth sign and I love it! She has the coolest writing! And above are some shots of the party girls. (not sure why Instagram did not include this one photo in my photo stream!? Grr---!)
Video Star was also on the agenda. The girls split up into two teams and created super cute/funny videos! Have your kids tried this out yet?

My mama is now nine and a ball of energy, sass, kisses & hugs, a rising soccer superstar and she has a big heart! Did I mention she's real crafty too?

I have to share a balloon pic too! Almost forgot! I'll get right on that one!
Have a good night!

Happy Twelve

Happy Birthday to our tween! Twelve years ago today we were blessed w/this beautiful girl! We love this spunky girl to pieces! She's can be sweeter than ever & gives me so many hugs & kisses throughout the day... then you have the other side: stubborn, driving me nuts sometimes w/the attitude, sassy to her sisters... I think that all sums up the word: T-W-E-E-N.

The day worked out perfect too! I was in pain & ended up in the hospital the next day! I was so upset I couldn't do anything (but I did make a bunch of signs to hang all over the house, her little sister wrote on ALL the mirrors in Expo markers! Her big sister made a cake & decorated the house w/streamers & balloons, cards & gifts followed.) Her bff dropped off a gift & that yummy cupcake! Dad took her to eat. Another friend took her to a movie, dinner & ice cream too, sleepover & rock climbing the next morning! My girl had a great birthday thanks to those that really love her. She's a lucky girl.

Happy day to my beautiful girl! Yes time flies entirely too fast! Happy fifteen to you Graciella! We love you more than ever. You drive us nuts but I still wouldn't trade you for anything! Keep striving for the best & keep reaching for the stars. You have become an amazing soccer player and I could watch you play for 8 straight days. Oh wait... I think that might have happened already! You're a beautiful girl mama and never change who you are. Always be true to your heart and keep it happy always. Yes you're a goofball who can make me laugh hysterical and that makes MY heart happy! #ihaveproofofyouactincraycrayandiwilluseitifineedtoo lol We love you mama & I hope you had a great day! xo

A Day to Remember

Happy Birthday to my dad. He would of turned 81 today. It's been 13 years now since he passed. He was a goofy one too. Growing up he would sing, dance, try to make me laugh or we would watch his beloved Yankees in our living room w/the fan blowing on us in the hot Jersey summers. He taught me how to drive stick shift on my brand new Nissan Sentra, he walked me down the isle too. I just wish he would of been able to see my girls grow up & play club soccer. He loved to watch me play sports all those years. I know he would of been proud of my girls. Our oldest too, she's doing good for herself... that girl is one smart cookie.

This is a scanned photo circa 1997. Doesn't my dad resemble Tony Bennett? I always loved him. I wish my dad was still here. Miss & love you much dad.
Happy Birthday.

Yes that's how long it's been. I had this unfinished layout in my desk drawer & saw it over the years and kept pushing it aside. I thought it was due time I finished it! I had every one sign this on her first birthday. (a little embarrassed I waited so long!) I do love how it turned out though!

(I even broke into the brads!)

I have a few layouts that need to be finished. Thinking I'll tackle those in between all the new ones! Do you have old layouts that need to be completed?
Happy scrapping!
