Mustaches & Strawberries

This past week flew right on by! Many happenings with soccer & school ending too! I have been busy creating new items for my shop! So excited! I may just have to click OPEN today! I have much creative input from my girls as well, this is fun. They don't hold back giving me their input on anything! A little someone had me add this to the shop...

Last night we made strawberry oatmeal bars. YUM.MEE! A piece of this and a glass of milk go perfect together. My daughter and I have been looking for this recipe for.ever. too! It's by the Pioneer Woman and it won't disappoint! Here's the link to try it out!

Just wanted to catch up w/you all before the weekend. Later on the agenda is to work on Project Life! How do PL cards and ruffles sound to you? Or just a touch of fabric here and there? As soon as the shop is open, I will let you know!
Happy day!

Chocolate Pretzel Bites

Happy Twenty Thirteen!

I hope the year finds you all w/a happy heart, healthy and well all around. I'm praying for the best for my family, friends & new friends! 2012 was a hard one & I'm just looking for the best & being positive all the way through!

Today started w/two of our girls at their friends, soccer and baking these little bites of sweetness! Super quick. Super easy. Even the husband helped real quick! (before I had to head back out the door!)

1.  Just set your oven to 350.
2.  We placed as many small pretzels on a cookie sheet as we could fit, lined w/tin foil.
3.  Place a Hersey's Kiss on each pretzel and set the timer for 3 minutes!
4.  Take out when done and place your candy on top of each. We used peanut m&m's! (next time I want to add a mini marshmallow!)

If you make these little sweet bites, please share if you used another candy! We're always looking for new ideas!

Have a great week!

DIY Cupcake Stand

I FINALLY have my very OWN cupcake stand!  I have been wanting one FOREVER--! No more asking everyone if I can borrow one. Yay! I know, I get super excited over the little things. But isn't this what LIFE is about? Sure you will always remember those big huge moments, but we all remember & hold onto those little moments... a certain look, parents reading to us before bed, the way mom cooked a meal, notes in your lunchbox AND MY cupcake stand! haha!

BEFORE

AFTER

I absolutely LOVE my new/old cupcake stand! I went to a thrift store & bought these four items and added some E6000 & some doilies! The top plate has some weight to it too, but the bottom one is slightly larger.

What do you think?!

Spider Tea Party

Today was Lele's tea party & it was a surprise for the 2nd grade class, who happened to be their mentors.  I offered to make cupcakes. 44 of 'em! Yep. Bcuz I HAVE the time. (that was a joke!)  I had an idea in mind & I just really wanted to do it.

Lele picked out the cake mixes & even helped me bake. I was going to make all spiders w/6 legs until Leleanna informed me NOT too. Spiders have 8 legs mommy! Oops. Did everyone know this?

Aren't these TOO cute?! I thought so. What do you think??

Baker's Needed

(Not really) Leleanna was such a great helper! She cracked the eggs (successfully w/no shells in bowl), poured all the ingredients & stirred until thoroughly mixed. She even helped w/pouring the batter into the pan & sprinkling the cinna mix.

For some reason, I'm liking APRONS! I love the vintage ones. Vintage fabrics as well. But also Amy Butler, Heather Bailey , Michael Miller, & Moda. Lele's apron is from Gramma. It was hers from yrs ago. I made this apron for a woman w/Amy Butler fabric. It's also lined.
