Pocket Letters - Heidi Swapp themed

Finally!! I have uploaded my first video to YouTube! And I sound like a total dork at the beginning! Sorry! Please watch for details because I cannot share with photos! I had redone all my settings on my Nikon & boom! A no go. Down the drain. The photos cannot open in PSE period. Fail! So I hope the video does them justice! Let me know your thoughts please?! And again, I know I sound funny at the start. I will perfect this, I promise! =) If you'd like to watch on YouTube, click HERE

Please share if you'd like!
Happy day to you! And btw, August already?? Yikes!

Fuse it!

Yes, I did walk in Hobby Lobby to purchase the WRMK Photo Sleeve Fuse & walked out with Becky Higgins Photo Fuse Tool! One, they didn't carry it & two, didn't even know that BH had such a tool! Love Project Life & Becky! So... off to the register we went! My coupon helped sway me, what can I say! lol Love the all white too!

This tool is easy to use too! If using for the first time, be sure to get yourself a cheap wood clipboard maybe from the dollar store to use when using this tool. It gets hot pretty quick & you don't want to make the mistake of using on your crafter's mat for your desk! I have an extra 12x12 pink one & used it on this first try. Oops! Tiny spot ruined & melted. Cannot really see it but if used over & over? Ruined for-ever.

Had to try this right away! I just got my Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Confetti flower dies in the mail so... the smaller flower + sequins makes for the perfect fused pocket! I need to get 3 pocket letters out this week & this tool will come in handy! Love it!

Happy weekend!

Lunch Notes Mini

Do your little ones take lunch every day to school? Do you still write lunch/love notes? Mine do & yes to writing notes every morning! Our younger two are in 5th and 8th grade. I often look through my Becky Higgins Project Life kits to grab 3x4 cards! Do you? Add some stamps & washi and voila! Super cute notes!

Here are the front/back covers and the two inside covers. I used a little bit of everything! Some of the alphas are from the Target Dollar Spot! A few items are from Paper Issues May 2014 swag bag!

What do you think? I just thought we still have 2 months left in this semester to fit in! Oops! Do you keep all the handwritten notes for your child? Now would be a good time to start working on my other daughter's Lunch Note mini!
Happy day!

Hello Fall

Happy Sunday to you! Today we're headed out to a soccer game and to the Dias de los Muertos festival. And no we won't be wearing sweaters & jeans! Today's high here in the desert will be 89 deg & feel much warmer in the sun. In the shade, it'll be bee-- autiful! So pack the sunscreen & water!

* * *

I created this card for the October mood board over at Jot magazine & I must say, I am loving those clocks, feathers & those comfy pillows!

I started off this card w/the brown chevron paper from Amy Tangerine. The doily was made with a Spellbinders die, added an Amy Tangerine Hello Thickers accent on top of the Amy Tangerine feather sticker. I added the slits to give texture. The flowers are are by Kaiser Craft & Prima. The buttons were in my stash. The xxx stitches are Amy Tangerine mini mark rubons. The enamel dots are by Teresa Collins.

I love the colors in this card too! I kind of wish that AZ would catch up & cool off! Around here is still green, but we can drive up north to see the leaves change colors and eventually snow!

Happy day.

I Love Instagram

Hello happy mail! I won this kit on Instagram from Blinks of Life! The Sugar & Spice kit! Love it! You will see this included in my projects in the near future! =) Thanks so much again BoL!

I also won this stamp set from Waffle Flower Crafts on Instagram! It's perfect for planners/filofax or Project Life! Love it! They have more sets that have made it onto my Wish List! With such busy days & so many details/appts to remember, I decided to go old school again and purchase a planner. Except I use the calendar on my iPhone constantly bcuz I can schedule months in advance w/out the bulk. I think I finally decided on a notebook I just recently bought. My plan is to use a page per day, use my stamps etc to help me keep organized, and of course, make it cute! *wink

The set I won is called: Planner - Stay Focused

My IG friend @jcchris aka Jessy and I won two pillows each from the Online Fabric Store via Gina of @shabbycreek on Instagram! And we got to pick out our very own pillows! We had quite the selection and I choose these two because I love embroidery & those colors!

What do you think?! They have a bunch on sale too! But once they're gone, they're gone! Thx again Gina & OFS! xo

Another IG prize I won was from Neat and Tangled. Yes, on Instagram. Gotta love IG!! I won a $50 gift certificate! whoohoo! Yes & I just placed my order too! You must visit their store & make a wish list for Santa! I will share my picks when they arrive!

And one last one! I won 100 Americana Acrylic Paint colors from Deco Art on their blog over a month ago, but because they were missing a few colors still... they held off putting in the mail. Then the box arrived!! Cue the paint angels! I kept 3 bottles out of the photo too! I wanted even lines! =)

Okay, so I didn't really win this beauty... however, we did make the switch to the ginormous iphones from our 4s'. Love it! And yes, we are a proud Apple family. She sure is pretty in gold! Love my 6plus!

October isn't over yet & it was an awesome one so far! Have a great weekend!

Forever Love

It's been 4 weeks ago yesterday. Wow. Time does fly right past us all. We still cannot believe it's true & this man who is Gia's daddy & my niece Carrie's other half, is no longer with us. So sad & he is missed. His kitties are missing him too.

I made this layout for my niece & her daughter to keep for the future. I want Giavanna to see her parents together, happy... the way Gia saw her daddy every day. She's only five now, I'm sure she'll remember moments when she's older but she may forget details or his smile, etc. I just want to be sure, for this little girl, this does not happen. There's plenty more photos to create layouts & minis, as well. I hope she appreciates it when she's older & looking through her albums. I'm positive she will & be grateful, we wrote down the details w/photos that she can treasure always.

**To make the background & heart paper more subdued, I painted Gesso over both. I added stitching to about every corner & added ink splatters by just taking top off bottle & shaking top over cardstock.

Have a good night.
