Dies & Foam

Hello again! Just wanted to share this tid bit about craft foam! Have you ever tried using with your dies? I ran it through my Grand Caliber twice with no problems at all! The thickness of my foam was a tiny bit less than 1/8". If you need to purchase, you can try the craft stores or even the dollar store! Mine has adhesive on the back, but I added a bit of wet glue to ensure it would not come off any time soon!

I used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors & LOVE! My hands have really bad psoriatic arthritis plus carpal tunnel & the scissors did not hurt me at all. Love when this happens! I used regular old school crepe paper also. I measured, cut then stitched to stripe paper before adhering to card base.

I consider this a CAS card. (clean & simple) Love the end result too! I always look at the tiny details & since I didn't stitch around the outside of the stripe paper, I did use pierced rectangles to emboss the tiny dots.

Happy day to you!

Hello Fall

Happy Sunday to you! Today we're headed out to a soccer game and to the Dias de los Muertos festival. And no we won't be wearing sweaters & jeans! Today's high here in the desert will be 89 deg & feel much warmer in the sun. In the shade, it'll be bee-- autiful! So pack the sunscreen & water!

* * *

I created this card for the October mood board over at Jot magazine & I must say, I am loving those clocks, feathers & those comfy pillows!

I started off this card w/the brown chevron paper from Amy Tangerine. The doily was made with a Spellbinders die, added an Amy Tangerine Hello Thickers accent on top of the Amy Tangerine feather sticker. I added the slits to give texture. The flowers are are by Kaiser Craft & Prima. The buttons were in my stash. The xxx stitches are Amy Tangerine mini mark rubons. The enamel dots are by Teresa Collins.

I love the colors in this card too! I kind of wish that AZ would catch up & cool off! Around here is still green, but we can drive up north to see the leaves change colors and eventually snow!

Happy day.

Spellbinders Stamps & Dies

Have you seen the newest line by Spellbinders: Celebra'tions? Stamps, dies, paper, ink & more! Here is a peek using my watercolor pencils & stamps.

And no project is complete without sequins! =)

The green chevron paper is from the 12 x 12 paper pad by Celebra'tions too. Also included in this collection, are the Celebra'tions pierced dies. LOVE!!

 I didn't have pink sequins to add, so I added some purple ones with twine w/a hint of gold. Depending how the light hits the sequins, they look more pink (as my 13 y/o pointed out!) Add the pop dots and we're set! Love this little guy! He's super cute all sparkly! Or he can easily by a she! oops!

Have a crafty weekend!
