Our Weekend

The theme this weekend was soccer. Don't be surprised. This is an everyday occurrence for this household! Antonia had her soccer tournament Fri - Sun. The weather was brisk & super windy! Sun peeking out here & there. Sprinkles of rain too! You need to pack a trailer full of supplies to just enjoy a game (I like to be prepared!) Some creative bliss was happening too! Add in baking, cooking dinner w/my girls,  lots of laundry & simply enjoying our Arizona sunsets. Oh yeah! I cannot forget my happy mail! (and making Vine videos w/my girls! You can find me at CalleLillyCafe)

I'm off to work on Project Life. Did I mention I LOVE collecting supplies for it all? Printables. Digital. Stamps. Flair. Wood pieces. Silhouette cutting files. Doilies. Every. Thing.
Have a good night all.

Fort Lowell Shootout Tournament 2012

Here's to another year & crazy weekend spent in Tucson. This tournament is HUGE! Over 300 teams to be exact! Our 7 y/o plays for her dad's '02 team & they played all weekend, walked in parade & competed in the Olympics (relays, dribbling, etc) and came out on top! The event was televised all weekend long & our little Renegades finished in First Place in the '02 Division, took First in Dribbling Relay & Accuracy and took Second in the Shootout. Way to go ladies!! We are so proud of them! In the last game on Sunday, our girls were much smaller than the other team but the final score was 4-0! Size does not always play a role, it's the skill & footwork that count! Coach Carlos (daddy) did an awesome job w/his girls & leading them to victory! I'm so proud of him, he loves his team, gets them to work hard & they totally get his plays, terms, etc!

The weekend was a first for us. We were all in the same place at the same time. This was a good thing. =) Cannot say the same for this coming weekend though! We have another tournament but local. This part is good! Pretty sure our other two have games. =/

San Tan Holiday Classic

If you're local & involved w/club soccer, you most likely heard of this tournament. Well, I'm here to tell you that last wkend, our '99 girls' team took FIRST PLACE! Woot! woot! First tournament for them this season. We are a brand new soccer Academy, as well. These hardworking, committed, leave it on the field playing girls put AAYS on the map! You go girls! We are so proud of them! Here's the post that's on our web site:

99 Girls win 1st Place in San Tan Holiday Classic

Our very own Academy ’99 girls team entered their very first tournament this weekend. Friday night, they tied 0-0. Saturday tied 1-1. Sunday morning Semi-Finals: won 2-0 and this afternoon in the Championship round… took First Place after a tie game (0-0) then Penalty Kicks. They took it in the fourth round! Way to go girls!! Our team was made up of six ‘99s, five ‘00s and two ‘01s.

Our first season, first tournament for the ’99 team & some of these girls’ first time playing soccer? I must say, we had big hopes for these girls and through training and commitment from each & every player… they truly deserved it! Awesome teamwork girls! Look forward to entering more tournaments ladies!

Is this the BEST ever!? I was so happy & proud of Antonia. The girls deserved this win & so needed this. Winning this proves to them that they are beyond capable, as a team, to win & take first place! They pulled together, with 2 subs on Saturday, 1 sub on Sunday & pulled it off. They were exhausted as the other teams subbed in 5 girls at a time... our girls had the skills! That's what it comes down to. If they didn't take first, all us parents still would of been proud bcuz we knew they played their hardest. =)

Coach daddy & Antonia

Gramma w/our soccer stud-ette! =)

A BIG thanks to our coaches!

**this is why we LOVE soccer. I love to watch the girls play their hearts out because they want to.**

Canal...The Root Kind

Today was a fun day. Ran some errands first thing & ate some lunch w/Carlos then C-R-U-N-C-H!! Yes, my tooth broke. Made appt for afternoon & after it was all explained & overwith... I finally found out WHY the chipmunk cheeks!?? I forget the exact medical name for it but my cheeks were not always like this. Some muscle, gets bigger over the yrs from grinding or clenching your teeth! HELLO?! I'm a wee-ticked off! More so! Ha! I hate these things on either side of my mouth! Ask the husband! Now I have to wait to get ALL the work done on my mouth, possible braces then wait X-amount of  years, THEN it MIGHT go away. Not so much fun for me. I want it gone now. =P (I will leave the $$ part for another day!)

**found out some great news for AAYS! It involves the Founder of a local soccer club, AYSA Hall of Famer, Asst Coach for a CLU team... This is HUGE for us at AAYS! This is taking off! Woot--Woot-- More details to follow people! =)

FYI:  if you're local & in need of a Notary, I'm your girl. Just sayin'.

It's getting later, not really. But I want to eat & go to bed earlier than usual. Right now, I'm shooting for before midnite. =)

Enjoy your evening bloggers. xo
