Here's to another year & crazy weekend spent in Tucson. This tournament is HUGE! Over 300 teams to be exact! Our 7 y/o plays for her dad's '02 team & they played all weekend, walked in parade & competed in the Olympics (relays, dribbling, etc) and came out on top! The event was televised all weekend long & our little Renegades finished in First Place in the '02 Division, took First in Dribbling Relay & Accuracy and took Second in the Shootout. Way to go ladies!! We are so proud of them! In the last game on Sunday, our girls were much smaller than the other team but the final score was 4-0! Size does not always play a role, it's the skill & footwork that count! Coach Carlos (daddy) did an awesome job w/his girls & leading them to victory! I'm so proud of him, he loves his team, gets them to work hard & they totally get his plays, terms, etc!
The weekend was a first for us. We were all in the same place at the same time. This was a good thing. =) Cannot say the same for this coming weekend though! We have another tournament but local. This part is good! Pretty sure our other two have games. =/

Tucson Duo
Graciella & I made the trip down for her game against CDO. They played a hard game but lost in the end 3-1. Same score as the last time they played them! Our stand in coach had to have emergency knee surgery that am too! We wish you the best Coach Tara!
Melina & her bf came to watch and we hung out w/them afterwards. Melina took us to a Thrift store for Graciella's Wax Musuem outfit. SCORE! Even the boots we found! And thanks to Miss Ana, for giving G a bag of clothes she may be able to use. She was able to use a white button down! Thx so much!! By the time we left there, we were all starving & Min (meen) took us to Beyond Bread. It's only in Tucson, but it's kind of like Paradise Bakery but more expensive. 1.5 sandwiches, 2 soups & 2 drinks & $29 later! Wow! Afterwards, we went to a park by Min's casa to take Mr. Tucker Max for a walk. He's a sniffer at heart so he had to stay on the leash. Ha! We did see a cute Malti-poo mix. Too cute! She went by Sunshine. (sounds like a stripper name, if you ask me! LOL) Another cute puppy we saw was a Pitbull/ Sharpae mix. Hmm. Wouldn't want to be around that dog when it's an adult. But the puppy was TOO cute. His name was Dallas. Huge muzzle & paws too! Me & Min got to catch up which BTW, was nice! I missed you Min! Graciella & Patrick played around w/the soccer ball. She had fun too. Thx Mr. P! =)

Love clouds pix, don't ask me why.?? Also, don't ask who took the pix! Needless to say, Graciella took a nap the entire way home. I'm glad too bcuz she needed it! Alana came over too to cut us girls' hair! We were WAY overdue for that! Thx Alana! Oh yeah! Lele & Antonia stayed local for games & both teams won! Way to go girls!! xo

Visit to Tucson
The reason for our visit was again... you guessed it! Another soccer game! =) Should this day be ANY different? Graciella's team was to play CDO Storm & we had to drive all the way to Tucson to do it! The girls usually dominate the entire game but this game was not the same. One of our defenders was still playing, under the weather. A wing? Same, under the weather. A mid-fielder? On a cruise. A forward? Again. Under the weather. If you haven't noticed the pattern, many kiddos around our neck of the woods are sick. Enter 'HAN-A-TIZER'! We are crazy about here & the girls' school is too. I'm happy about that bcuz so far (let me knock on our WOOD kitchen table!) the girls have not been sick. Only Antonia had a mysterious lil virus that resulted in a temp for a few days. She even went to the drs, was tested for Swine Flu & came back neg.
So onto our visit! After the game (which the girls lost 3-0 & I heard during the game, these girls were 2nd in State...but that was only who they went up against this year - 4 games maybe?...) we asked our oldest for a good pizza joint around in Tucson. She told us about...

We ate at the 4th Ave location, where you can dine inside or out. The bees got to the girls, so we had to move our party of 6 inside. =/ it was so--- nice out too. Anyway, I could really go for some of this right NOW!!
Antonia, Tori & Leleanna
Back pizza: 1/2 cheese & pepperoni
Bottom pizza: my half: Hawaiin (made w/ham, riccotta cheese, pineapple & green peppers!) I was surprised to see the extra stuff in it but it was YUM-MEE!
Carlos' half: sausage & onion
Okay now? I'm REALLY hungry! =(
Graciella
Next stop:
Do they still look like my girls?
Antonia
Michael Jackson. Uh... I mean Graciella! =)
Should I be worried that I hear "mommy, look!" & see my 11 yr old wearing these?!
Yes, it'll be a long time before she can fit into these shoes. And when she CAN, it's NOT going to happen! =)
We had fun! I so wanted to buy one of the many flapper dresses in that shop! I love that material that shimmies! They had too many cute vintage dresses for everyday wear too! I heart Desert Vintage. (it's right across the street from pizza joint!)
